"There’s no need to rush, one step at a time, and you will arrive at the destination successfully."
My first mountain climbing experience was very difficult. I was almost out of breath because I did not expect the elevation of the mountain, and we climbed for about 4-5 hours. The mountain elevation is around 1,040 meters or 3,412 ft. They said this is considered a seasoned hiker, as a minor climber. The experience was good, seeing fogs around me, feeling the freshness of the air, watching the over-looking view, and when you reach the peak, you are finally at the 1,000 feet above sea level of the peak of Mt. Loay.
Mt. Loay isn’t only an over-looking view; if you want to experience waterfalls, you have to traverse for about 3-4 hours from Mt. Loay peak to Langan Falls. If you are a first-time climber, you have to expect that it will have a lot of challenges for you. You feel tired, you feel your body wants to give up, you feel dizzy, and that’s natural. But there’s no need to rush, one step at a time, and you will arrive at the destination successfully.
I feel exhausted from the first mountain climbing, but exhaustion is not a hindrance to experiencing those magnificent mountains. It’s natural to feel exhausted at first because even the old climbers can feel it too. So, you have to be brave, careful, and enjoy the calmness of nature. One step at a time, if I can do it, then you can!
Mt. Loay is located in Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur. To get there, you have to ride a bus from Davao City to the entrance of Mt. Loay for about 2-3 hours. The bus fee is 130 pesos, and the environmental fee in Mt. Loay is 30 pesos, cheaper, isn’t it? You can experience Mt. Loay at a cheaper cost!
So what are you waiting for? Visit Mt. Loay and experience the tranquility and magnificence of nature. WHAT’S NEXT?
